Hi, and welcome to Homeschooling Smart!
I created HomeschoolingSmart.app because homeschooling can be wonderful, flexible, and deeply rewarding—but it can also feel overwhelming.
There are so many curriculum choices, teaching styles, online programs, workbooks, subscription services, state requirements, schedules, and opinions that it can be difficult to know where to start.
And sometimes, you do not need another person telling you there is only one “right” way to homeschool.
You just need clear information, practical options, and maybe someone who understands what it feels like to sit there wondering:
Am I choosing the right curriculum for my child?
That is exactly why Homeschooling Smart was created.
A Little About Me
I’m a homeschool mom who understands that choosing how and what to teach your children can be both exciting and frustrating.
I have spent A LOT of time researching curriculum for my daughters, comparing programs, looking at different learning styles, and trying to figure out which resources actually make sense for real homeschool families (and my own).
One thing I have learned is that homeschooling is not one-size-fits-all.
What works beautifully for one child may be completely wrong for another.
One child may love colorful online lessons and independent learning.
Another may thrive with books, manipulatives, nature walks, and one-on-one instruction.
Some families want a complete all-in-one curriculum.
Others prefer to mix and match—using one company for math, another for science, and something completely different for reading.
And all of those approaches can work.
Why I Created Homeschooling Smart
My goal with HomeschoolingSmart.app is to make researching homeschool options easier.
Instead of spending hours opening dozens of tabs and trying to compare programs on your own, I want this site to become a place where parents can find information in a simple, organized way.
